How To Fix BBM 10.3 Error On BlackBerry Devices

BBM 10.3 is the latest BBM update for BlackBerry devices which packs many features; however, some users have not been able to use the update to the error its giving as shown in the  image below.


The error is affecting those using BB10 OS below 10.2.1.1925. Consequently, to fix this its just a matter of upgrading the BB10 OS running on y our device.

Just so you know, the OS links above are for leaked BB10 OS but will update to the 10.2.1.1925 and fix the lingering BBM error issue.

Download BBM 2.0 for iPhone and Android Devices

BlackBerry says they are gonna Android and iPhone users a new BBM app that will involve some features found in the BM for BlackBerry 10 devices. Yesterday, that promise was fulfilled with BlackBerry releasing BBM 2.0 which brings BBM Channels, BBM Voice and other nice enhancements to both BBM on Android and iOS devices.
BBM Channels
BBM Channels is that platform where BBM users can chat with another in any topic that interests them; more or less a forum where you can share thoughts, ideas and even experiences. 


The forum has different topics ranging from Sports, Entertainment, Technology, movies and other interesting topics. The good part is that you can create Channels too and share it with  your friends so everyone can discuss whatever it is that catch their fancy.

Location Sharing
The boys behind BBM development for non-BlackBerry devices have added a new feature to BBM. This new feature allows you to share your location for a limited amount of time. 


This can be very useful if you have people expecting you and they are wondering you are. With the help of Glympse, you can easily share your location for people to see.

BBM Voice
BBM voice is a much anticipated feature that people want cos you it may end up reducing the cost making network calls especially when you have lots of friends on t he BBM app.


Now you can share voice notes, pictures and even calendar with events on it. This is a good thing and you guys would definitely love it.

New Emoticons
Sometimes last year, BlackBerry wanted us to suggest some new emoticons that can be integrated in  the BBM app. With BBM 2.0 good suggested new emoticons have been added into the app so that you better express yourself without having to type too much.

The number of emoticons have now been bumped to 100: expressing yourself just gets better with this improved BBM.

Other features of BBM 2.0 includes the ability to select images from Dropbox and also to add up to 50 persons in a group chat. 

The guys over at BlackBerry mean business and they are ready to get you to use BBM more frequently on your Apple and Android devices.

TriQuint Semiconductor, Inc , a leading RF solutions supplier and technology innovator, today announced three new multi-mode, multi-band power amplifier modules (MMPAs) that deliver longer battery life for LTE smartphones while simplifying increasingly complex RF design. The versatile new products, which are already capturing design wins in leading LTE smartphones, feature new envelope tracking technology as well as a new mobile chip interface.

Finally, Samsung Galaxy S5 Spec Sheet Released

Usually, when a new high-end smartphone is about to be released, leaked images of the phone will rapidly pop up. Also, spec and feature sheet is bound to be leaked days to the launch of the product.

In the case of Samsung next S series smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S5, the same situation applies: just few days ago, a Chinese website leaked benchmark of the two variant of the S5 that will be released.

Today, another leaked image of the spec sheet of the Samsung galaxy s5 was unveiled. This leaked image looks more genuine and points to the fact that Samsung S5 will indeed have a 5.25inch display just as seen in the image below.
 

Like always, you cannot say for sure what the specs of any smartphone is until its unveiled. Samsung will be unveiling the Samsung S5 at the Samsung Unpacked at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) due to begin 24th February; but, before then, its safe enough to say that you should expect the following specifications if the rumors and the leaked images are to be taken with a bit authenticity.

A 20mp back AF camera and a 2mp front camera for video calls. As usual,you would be able to use dual camera mode just like the S4. It will also have a full HD (1080p) playback and recording feature.The device will feature a 5.25inch variant of  the S5 with a super AMOLED display for sharp and colourful images.

RAM is expected to be 3GB LPDDR3 RAM coupled with Android KitKat 4.4.2 and 2.56Ghz quad core processor as suggested by various leaked spec sheet. Battery will stand at 3,000mAh. Instead of  the rumoured iris scanner; there would be a finger print scanner in other to do battle with Apple's fingerprint sensor incorporated in the iPhone 5S.


Whether the Samsung S5 will be in 2 variants as suggested by various sources will be seen at the unveiling of the Samsung S5 come Feb. 24th at the Samsung Unpacked Event which is also when the MWC event is taking place.

Broadcom Corporation, Nokia Solutions and Networks (NSN) have demonstrated LTE Advanced (LTE-A) carrier aggregation Category 6 (Cat 6) data rates of 300 Mbps on a live commercial network of Finnish operator Elisa.

The end-to-end test was completed on Elisa’s commercial LTE network in Finland with Broadcom’s LTE-A Cat 6 technology using inter-band carrier aggregation and NSN’s Flexi Multiradio 10 Base Station. The test was performed by aggregating two 20 MHz channels in the 1800 MHz band (LTE Band 3) and the 2600 MHz band (LTE Band 7) to reach speeds of 300 Mbps.

After jointly building LTE networks on 1800 MHz and 2600 MHz, NSN enabled the operator to launch 800 MHz LTE network in January earlier this year.


Broadcom will demonstrate LTE-A Cat 6 data rates on NSN infrastructure at the upcoming Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona, February 24-27.
